South Auckland Kiwis played against special needs players from the Ryouseien club in Japan. The NZ team won Saturdays match 17-12 but lost Sunday's game 32-28. It is the second time the Japanese team have toured in New Zealand. Two of our young adults were South Auckland Kiwi Representatives.
Our youths participate in social activities with schools and clubs, for social development, communication and develop confidence interacting with others in the community.
Our youths experienced a unique and inspirational experience where over 100 young people with disabilities sing, dance and play music with more than 30 Celebrities (music stars from pop to opera, TV presenters, sports heroes), and the Auckland Philharmonia Orchestra, in a spectacular live stage production.
